Video Call Portfolio Review Evaluation Option

1. Choose a format

2. Request an Appointment

• Most video appointments are weekday afternoon appointments with a few Sunday afternoon options.
• 30 minutes for most evaluations and up to 45 minutes with multiple children.
• Share records during the live video call.
• Zoom is a great option for sharing files from your computer.
• Student must be present.
• Use our Video Evaluation Request form

3. Provide Payment

• $50 for first child
• $20 more for each additional child evaluated at same time
  
• Need the evaluation in a hurry? Use our online/email SPEEDY RUSH RUSH form for our fastest service
• Or for $20 more use our Video RUSH form
  
• Pay via credit or debit card, Apple Pay, PayPal, request an invoice, or mail a check or money order

4. Check Your Email & Set an Appointment

• We'll email a link to our calendar app so you can choose an appointment.
  
• Check your spam folder if you don't see our email.
  
• Most of the year we usually respond within 2 or 3 days with appointment; during the summer, it may take a week to receive an appointment offer.
  
• Video RUSH evaluation option will get you an appointment faster

6. After the Video Call

• We'll email evaluation forms and optional portfolio review forms to the parent.
  
• Parent forwards evaluation forms to the district as per Florida law--we'll provide directions and link to get district home education contact information to get the form to the right place
  
• Forms are usually emailed to parent by the next business day.
• Continuing Support: If there are any issues with the evaluation forms and/or the district, let us know so we can help you fix the issues.

5. Day of the Call

• Have your materials ready to show during the call--the call is basically a chance to show off what your child has been learning.
  
• For Facebook Messenger video calls, message Cheryl within an hour or so ahead of the appointment time.
  
• NO materials are sent before the call.
  
• Not sure what to show us? Read here for more information on evaluations.
• Log in with the provided Zoom link. Or we'll call you on FaceTime, WhatsApp, or Messenger call.
• Parent usually shows the materials with student present.
